As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The manuscript is original, not under review elsewhere, and complies with ethical publishing standards.
  • The submission is in PDF format, prepared using the SIGAIR LaTeX template.
  • The manuscript is 4 -- 12 pages in length, excluding references, acknowledgments, and appendices.
  • All figures and tables are embedded in the text and properly labeled.
  • References are included via BibTeX and accurately formatted.
  • All authors are listed on both the PDF.
  • Supplementary files (code, datasets, videos) are included when necessary.

Submissions to the Special Interest Group on Artificial Intelligence Research (SIGAIR) must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure quality, clarity, and consistency across all publications.

1. Manuscript Formatting

  • Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English and prepared using the official SIGAIR LaTeX template.

  • Recommended length is 4 to 12 pages, excluding references, acknowledgments, and appendices. Longer submissions may be returned for revision.

  • The manuscript should be single-column, 10pt font, on A4 paper with 1-inch margins.

  • All figures and tables must be placed near their first citation and labeled clearly. Each must include a descriptive caption.

2. File Submission

  • Authors must submit a PDF version of the manuscript for peer review.

  • Upon acceptance, authors will be required to submit the LaTeX source files, including .tex, .bib, and any associated figures.

  • Ensure that the PDF matches the source exactly in content and author list.

3. Article Structure

The manuscript may follow any structure suitable for its content, but most research articles typically include:

  • Abstract (150–250 words)

  • Introduction

  • Background or Related Work

  • Methods, Framework, or System Description

  • Experiments or Case Studies

  • Conclusion and Future Work

  • References

Optional sections include: Acknowledgments, Appendix, Broader Impact Statement, Limitations.

4. Referencing

  • References must be included using BibTeX and follow a consistent citation style, such as plain, ieeetr, or apalike.

  • Each citation must be relevant, accurate, and up to date. Retracted or misleading citations may result in rejection.

  • Example citations: Lin et al.~\cite{lin2023cs}, Qu et al.~\cite{qu2025spatial}, Gu et al.~\cite{gu2024mllmguard}.

5. Authorship and Ethics

  • All authors must meet authorship criteria and approve the submitted version.

  • Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged in a separate section.

  • Once submitted, the author list and order cannot be changed without written consent from all listed authors.

  • Authors must disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources.

  • SIGAIR follows strict ethical publishing standards. Plagiarism, duplication, or unethical use of data will lead to immediate rejection.

6. Supplementary Material

  • Authors are encouraged to submit supplementary materials (e.g., code, datasets, videos) as separate files.

  • If the manuscript is a revision, please include a detailed “Summary of Changes” in a separate file.

7. Manuscript Types

SIGAIR accepts the following peer-reviewed manuscript types:

  • Research Article (default)

  • Survey / Systematic Review

  • Method / Tool / System Description

  • Theoretical Contribution

  • Perspective or Commentary

  • Negative Results

  • Tutorial / Exposition

  • Application Case Study

  • Open Problem or Meta-analysis

Authors may select the most appropriate type during submission.
